Y9 Pathways

What Are Pathways Choices?

Your Pathways Choices are the set of subjects you will study in Years 10 and 11. They allow you to specialise in the areas you enjoy most, develop your strengths, and explore new skills that can help guide your future study and career choices.

How to Choose Your Subjects

When selecting your KS4 options, it’s important to think carefully about:

  • What you enjoy
Choosing subjects you are passionate about will help you stay motivated.

  • What you’re good at
Playing to your strengths gives you the best chance of success.

  • What you might want to study or do in the future
Some subjects may support particular college pathways, apprenticeships or careers.

By considering these factors, you’ll be able to make informed decisions that set you on the path to success.

Submitting Your Choices

Instructions on how to submit your Pathways choices will be sent directly to students.
Please note that all options must be submitted by 1st March.
