Throughout the day, students took part in a range of workshops, employer-led sessions and mock interviews designed to help them make informed decisions about their next steps. These experiences gave students valuable insight into the skills, qualifications and opportunities available across a wide range of industries.
We were delighted to welcome professionals from organisations including Lloyds Banking Group, Jaguar Land Rover, Milk Education, JD Sports and McDonald's. By sharing their experiences and career journeys, our visitors helped students better understand the world of work and the many routes available to success.
A highlight of the event was our largest-ever Careers Fair, which brought together 28 exhibitors to meet our students and their families, answering any questions they might have about their future plans. The Sports Hall was busy throughout the event as students and families explored opportunities offered by colleges, universities, employers and training providers.
We would like to thank all of the organisations that supported the event, including Aquinas College, Xavierian College, The Manchester College, Loreto College, ADA College, Trafford College, GM Higher, Caddick Construction, Seddon Construction, Odd Arts, Milk Education, ARC Mindset, Lloyds Banking Group, Positively You, PLP Construction, Cheadle Hulme Sixth Form, Groundwork, Victoria College, Cheadle Town FC, Reddish North End Academy, UA92, Hazel Grove Sixth Form, Cheadle College and Stockport College. Their support played an important role in helping students broaden their ambitions and learn more about future education and career opportunities.
Events such as Careers Day are a key part of our commitment to ensuring every student is prepared for their next stage of education, employment or training. We are grateful to all of our employers, partners and providers for helping to inspire the next generation and support students as they plan for their future.
Careers Lead Mr Sherwood, who organised the day, said: "Careers Day provided an excellent opportunity for students to engage with employers, training providers and further education institutions. Experiences like these help our young people raise their aspirations, develop confidence and make informed choices about their future pathways."
